Anker, through its founder, André Kleynhans planted roots in this small seaside village, over three decades ago,

With a free spirit and an instinctual love for the cold Atlantic Ocean and the random moods of her West Coat coastline, André became one with Paternoster. Through the years, his journey as a strandloper, a diver, a fisherman, a friend to those that shared the land and sea around him, a father and a leader in the community, has seen André embrace the Soul of Paternoster.
The experience of renovating his own home, Bloekomboom, led naturally to the renovation of other houses within the village and Anker Builders was born.
Over time the renovation of traditional fishing folk cottages led to the building of new, all in the similar style of West Coast seaside cottages.
As the village gained popularity with visitors and tourists, rapid development of the area was the momentum Anker Builders needed to embed their successful growth. Modern architecture and the demand for prestigious homes led to the increase in the business skill sets and capacity. It’s a family business with Andre’s immediate and associated family all actively involved.
